5 Days Pikey Peak Trek

Nepal, the home to all mountain peaks in the world is the ultimate destination for climbers and adventure lovers. The whole country is full of beautiful mountains and the smaller peaks all around. While all eight thousand meters of mountain climbing are reserved for experienced climbers, other smaller peaks are great for acclimatization and learning. One such popular hiking peak in Nepal is Pikey Peak. Even Sir Edmund Hillary claimed that 5 days Pikey Peak trek takes us to the best spot to get the mountain views of Nepal and that just might be true.

So, where is Pikey Peak?

Pikey Peak lies within the lower lower Everest Region in a less traveled route. Pikey Peak's location is in the SoluKhumbu district of Nepal in the northeastern of Kathmandu. A short Pikey peak trek takes you to the lower section of Solu between the Khumbu (Everest) and Numbur Chuli regions. The highest point of 5 days Pikey Peak trek is at the height of 4,068 meters (13,379 feet) and trekking to Pikey only takes 5 to 6 days.

Pikey trek is short and easy, specially designed for beginners to high-altitude trekking. The Short Pikey peak trek might be the only place where one can see all ranges of the east like Everest, Kanchenjunga, and Makalu as well as the 8000m+ peaks in the west as Annapurna and Manaslu. I mean, there are no other places where you can get such an extensive view in such a short time. Along with an unbelievable view, this is also a culturally and naturally rewarding 5-day trip in Nepal. The villages along the trail and the wide range of rare wildlife add a thrill to our 5 days Pikey Peak trek.

Short Pikey Peak trek is also great to avoid the crowd of classic EBC trek in peak season while having a rewarding experience at Khumbu itself. And it’s way cheaper than the Everest Base Camp trek as there is no domestic flight during the trip. Now, it’s that a dream?

Best time for 5 days Pikey Peak trek

This trek can be done for eight different months. Just two months of summer i.e. June and July (due to rainfall) and two winter months, January and February (due to snowfall) are hard for the shortest Piket peak Trek. The influx of tourists increases right from March. From April to May, the entire sub-tropical forest in the Pikey Peak zone is covered in the blooms of Rhododendron and Pine. But the views of the mountain are clearer in the Autumn i.e. September, October, and November. Autumn has warm temperatures, no cold winds, and exciting views to offer, thus the best time for the shortest Piket peak Trek.
