Best Trek Experience for Families with Senior Citizens!
What an incredible trekking experience with my family, including senior citizens, and I’m so grateful to Breeze Adventure for making this trip truly unforgettable!
I was looking for a short, peaceful trek in Nepal for the early winter season and reached out to the owner of Breeze Adventure, Kishwor. His professionalism and extensive experience in Nepal trekking were immediately evident. Kishwor suggested several trekking options but recommended the 7 days Pikey Peak Trek, which I had never heard of before. After researching it further online, I discovered that it’s an underrated gem of a trail in Nepal, and I was excited to explore it.
Kishwor took the time to explain the details of the trek, sharing pictures and videos from his previous trips during different seasons. His thorough communication, including a detailed itinerary, reasonable pricing, a packing list, and basic training plans, was incredibly professional. With all the information in hand, we decided to book the 7-day Pikey Peak Trek with Breeze Adventure.
Upon arrival in Nepal, we were warmly welcomed by the Breeze Adventure team at the airport, holding a welcoming board with marigold garlands—such a beautiful touch! We met Kishwor at his office, where he was both friendly and professional. After discussing the trek in more detail, he introduced us to his amazing team.
Day 01: The next day, we set off on our journey to Dhap Bazaar. Though the drive was long (about 9 hours), the views of the Himalayas and glimpses of the countryside kept us entertained. We arrived at Dhap Bazaar, greeted by the fresh Himalayan breeze and stayed at Hotel Everest View, a peaceful resort near the market. After resting and freshening up, our guide, Mr. Raj, took us on a short hike to the hill for a breathtaking sunset view. On our very first day, we saw the majestic Mt. Everest and Lhotse!
Day 02:The trek was easy, following a newly built road and winding through the jungle. We hiked for about 3.5 hours before stopping for a warm, delicious lunch at Thadapani. After a short rest, we continued for another 35 minutes and arrived in Jhapre, a small town as Kishwor had described. We explored the monastery and had a pleasant stay at the local guesthouse.
Day 03: The next morning, we woke up to the beautiful sounds of birds and an amazing sunrise. After a hearty breakfast, we began a gentle uphill trek through a stunning rhododendron forest and valley views, reaching Bhulbhule. We enjoyed a warm, delicious lunch and continued our journey via small towns toward Pikey Peak. The last section of the trek was a little more challenging for my parents, but our guide, Raj, made sure we paced ourselves so that they could reach Pikey Peak Base Camp without issue. I felt confident throughout the trek, knowing that Kishwor had provided a tank of oxygen with his team in case of an emergency, which gave my parents peace of mind.
Day 04: We woke up early in the morning, had some hot drinks, we set off early for the final ascent to Pikey Peak. The trail was steep, but Raj led us gently, and our porters were always there to help. When we reached the summit, the sunrise was absolutely stunning! We witnessed the majestic Himalayas waking up in the morning light, with views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Sisapangma, and Annapurna. My parents were overwhelmed with gratitude for this incredible moment. After taking in the views, we began our descent to Jasmane Bhanjyang, using our trekking poles on the steep trail. After two hours, we reached Jasmane, had lunch, and rested for the day.
Day 05: This morning, we enjoyed another beautiful sunrise before heading up towards Lamjura Bhanjyang. The two-hour trek offered fantastic views of the Himalayas, and we stopped for a break, taking many photos. From there, we descended into a magical forest on our way to Taktor town, which we really enjoyed. After lunch, we walked for 1.5 hours to the beautiful Junbesi village, my favorite spot on the trek.
Day 06: Woke up full of Himalayan energy and had our breakfast at Junbesi. Junbesi is peaceful, with many monasteries, and we visited the oldest one before heading to the Tuptencholing Monastery. Tuptencholing was a pleasant surprise—a huge monastery tucked into the mountains, with hundreds of nuns living there. We spent 3 hours at the monastery, participated in a puja ceremony, and meditated. After a refreshing break, we continued back to Junbesi and then to Phaplu.
The trail to Phaplu was mostly along the road, but there weren’t many cars, and we enjoyed walking along the riverside. Upon reaching Phaplu, we stayed at Hotel Everest again, where we enjoyed a hot shower and a delicious meal before the final leg of our journey back to Kathmandu.
Day 07: We had an early morning drive to Kathmandu, making a stop at Dhap Bazaar for breakfast, where we were treated to an amazing view of Mount Everest. Afterward, we continued our journey, retracing the same route back to Kathmandu.
Our experience with Breeze:
The entire team at Breeze Adventure took exceptional care of us throughout the trek. Kishwor’s in-depth knowledge of Nepal and his commitment to safety ensured the success of our trip. My parents were extremely grateful for the experience, and I’ll never forget the joy of sharing these stunning views with them—especially being so close to Mount Everest and seeing five of the highest mountains in the world! The Pikey Peak trek is perfect for families with senior citizens, and it’s also very safe for children.
I highly recommend the Pikey Peak Trek with Breeze Adventure for a successful and safe trek. Thank you again to Raj for taking great care of our parents and to Kishwor for recommending this peaceful and extraordinary trek. A Trek to Everest with My Kids: Best Company Breeze Adventure !
I first got in touch with Kishwor through a friend who had previously trekked successfully with Breeze Adventure. From the very beginning, Kishwor guided us with both professionalism and friendliness. As this was my first time traveling to Nepal with my children, Kishwor made us feel secure and ensured that we were well-prepared for the Pikey Peak Trek with Team Breeze.
Given that I was trekking with my 7- and 10-year-old kids, Kishwor thoughtfully arranged a tank of oxygen for our family, which proved to be incredibly helpful throughout the trek. The Pikey Peak trek itself was absolutely beautiful, and the Breeze Adventure team was exceptional. They took great care of us, ensuring our comfort and safety every step of the way.
Our guide, Mr. Khadka, and our porter, Dorje, were both outstanding. Their expertise and care made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
A huge thank you to Kishwor and the entire team for their impeccable organization and support. We had an unforgettable time in the Himalayas, and I highly recommend Breeze Adventure for any trek in Nepal. We will be back for more adventures with them in the future!

Best Experience with Breeze for Luxury EBC Trek
I went with classmates and friends on a hike to Everest Base Camp in Nepal organized by Breeze. We had a great time hiking in the mountains and valleys surrounded by snow peak mountains. We hiked to a height of 18000 feet which is challenging. Breeze arranged the trip very well. They booked very good accommodations. The guides and sherpas are excellent and very friendly. They took care of us very well. They could arrange rescue helicopters quickly for a couple of friends who experienced altitude sickness. I recommend Breeze for any adventures or hikes in Nepal for their professionalism. I would like to mention Kishworji and Kulnathji for their great work to make our hike very comfortable and pleasant.
I had an amazing time trekking in the Everest region, the guide was very reliable and a lot of fun!!! They arranged everything for us, from picking us up in the airport to dropping us of back there. I felt really taken care of!
