The Seti River, located about three-quarters of the way to Pokhara from Kathmandu, is a pleasant, low-key place for the Seti River Rafting excursion. Considered perfect for beginners, this package is particularly suitable for families and for those who do not care to face the heavier, sometimes more frightening rapids. The Seti River gets its name from the white hue of its waters. Seti River Rafting starts high in the Annapurna range. The flow of the Seti River is quite calm and the water is warmer than most rivers in Nepal. Technically speaking, the rafting grade is class 2-3. For this reason, it’s perfect for travelers who prioritize comfort over thrill.

From Kathmandu, we drive on the Prithvi Highway for about 6-7 hours to reach Pokhara. The drive itself is beautiful. The road carves over and around rolling hills. Enjoy the scenery of small villages, terraced hillsides, and lovely rivers throughout the drive. Arriving in Pokhara around midday, take the rest of the day to wander around lakeside or do some sightseeing. Check out the Peace Pagoda, David Falls, Begnas Lake, or anything else that picks your interest and prepare for Next day’s Seti River Rafting.

The following day, we head for the Seti river Rafting. Enjoy floating down the tranquil waters and passing the changing sceneries. We get glimpses of the Himalayas peeking behind the jungle as we glide along the rapids. When we reach near Saran Ghat, we hop off the rafts and set up camp near the shore of the Seti River. We’ll have a campfire and a delicious dinner near the Seti River. Watch the stars and enjoy the night! Sleeping in a tent near the foot of the Himalayas is an awesome experience.

The next day, we raft a bit further. Our ride awaits in Gai Ghat, and we drive back to Kathmandu. Do note that there are numerous ways to extend this adventure. Combine our Seti River rafting trip with paragliding, bungee jumping, jungle safari, and/or a trek. Let us know your interests and we will manage the perfect combination package for you!

Seti River Rafting can be experienced by adventurers of all ages. This River rafting requires no previous experience, just a desire to have some fun. Rafting can be done all throughout the year. Even during monsoon season, the rains bring even more thrilling rapids. Breeze Adventure arranges the rafting excursion with complete management. Please, feel free to contact us for more detailed information about this trip.

This Seti River Rafting package begins and ends from Kathmandu. However, we can arrange to transport you from Pokhara to the river and back, just let us know!
