Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Paro Arrival
    The journey begins with the flight into the Himalayas that reveals the scenic and breathtaking views of the tallest mountains of the world. If the weather permits, you can witness Mt Everest (8848m) and many other Himalayan mountain ranges. This is probably the most amazing mountain flight you will ever experience. As you land in the small yet beautiful airport in Paro, we will be welcoming you to Bhutan. Then we will transfer you to the hotel for refreshment. In the evening, you can visit the local market and do some shopping.

  • Day 02: Paro Sight Seeing
    We begin the day with a morning hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s nest). Trek to Bhutan’s most recognizable cultural icon perched beautifully at 800m up a seemingly sheer cliff is going to be amazing. Three hours hike to and fro can either be done on foot or horse. The view from the top of the monastery is just amazing. Later, we visit Ta Dzong which was a watchtower and now changed into the National Museum in 1968. We will also visit the local farmhouse and art school in the remaining time.

  • Day 03: Paro to Thimpu
    Today, we drive to Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan. The one and half hour drive are full of beautiful scene and greenery. After some rest in the hotel, we will visit Memorial Chorten that was constructed in 1974 in memory of the third King of the country, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, who is regarded as the father of modern Bhutan. We can also visit Sangaygang View Point and the weekend market. In the late evening, just stroll around the valley and see how locals live and do some shopping.

  • Day 04: Thimpu to Wangdue
    After a beautiful day in Thimpu, will drive towards Wangdi. On the morning drive towards Wangdue, we come across the pass known as Dochula at 3140m where a beautiful panoramic view of the Himalayan range can be seen. Especially on a clear winter day, the view is even more amazing. The beauty of this place is enhanced by the Druk Wangyal Chortens- a series of 108 stupas built by the eldest Queen, Her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck.

  • Day 05: Wangdue to Gangtey Valley to Wangdue
    Today, we hike to Gangtey Nature Trail. On the two hours to three hours trek, along the nature trail, you witness some beautiful wildlife and exotic fauna. On the top, you will visit the magnificent Goemba(Monastery) that leads to the sloping area of green grass. We will even come along some villages, rivers, crane roosting ground. After a few hours, we will get back to the valley of Wangdi where we will spend the night.

  • Day 06: Wangdue to Punakha to Thimphu to Paro
    This day is mostly about driving and getting back to the valley of Paro. We will begin the day with a short journey from Wangdi to Punakha. Punakha was once the capital of Bhutan and carries the history of the place. We will visit Punakha Dzong fortress that was built-in 1637 by Zhabdrung and eventually continue our drive to Paro. In the evening, you can stroll in the market of Paro.
